EQ 12/24-20A Battery Equalizer and DC Autotransformer
The battery equalizer allows large transient 12 V loads to be taken off the 12V tap of a 48 V battery (made of 4 X 12 V batteries) without fear of upsetting the voltage balance of the battery and destroying the 48 V battery system that would otherwise occur.

This standard unit regulates the output voltage proportional to 1/4 the input when connected 48 V input and regulates the output to 4 X input when connected to 12 V input. This characteristic, when connected across 4 X 12 V batteries in a 48 V configuration, will keep the batteries at equal voltages.
Fixed:
An EQ unit can not put out a fixed voltage and is not recommended to run a load directly. To step down from a 48V battery to a fixed lower voltage use a DC-DC Step Down Controler (PPT). To step up from a lower voltage source to 48V use a DC-DC Step Up Controler (CV
