The FRONIUS IG Sensor Box allows you to collect even more information about your system. With 6 inputs, you can measure the array temperature, ambient temperature, irradiance, wind speed, building load, and/or numerous other types of data.

Features of the Fronius Sensor Box for IG Inverters:

 Each Sensor Box allows connection of up to six sensors:

  • 2 temperature channels (PT 1000)
  • 1 irradiance channel (Voltage input 0-1V)
  • 2 digital inputs
  • 1 standard 20mA current interface

For added flexibility, multiple Sensor Boxes can be connected in the same DatCom system. It is possible to install various sensors into the Fronius DATCOM system. These permit an in-depth look into the way the PV system works and make it possible to draw informed conclusions about the overall performance. As usual, this option is available either as a plug-in card or as box. Plug-in cards are recommended for a maximum distance of 20 — 30 m between the inverter and sensor(s). Larger distances can be bridged using the box. The following sensors can be connected to the Sensor Box (Card)

  • Wind Speed Sensor
  • Ambient Temperature Sensor
  • Irradiance Sensor
  • Module Temperature Sensor
