Whisper 200 High Voltage Wind Generator
SouthWest Windpower Whisper 200 Wind Turbine

To get the most out of low to moderate wind speeds (up to 12 mph), the Whisper 200 is the turbine of choice. Featuring a ten-foot (3 m) rotor diameter, the Whisper 200 will deliver twice the power in marginal wind areas than the Whisper 100. In a 12 mph average wind (5.4 m/s), expect 200 KW/h per month to your batteries.
A high voltage model is available for long wire runs up to 2 miles, and an AC direct drive Water Pumping model connects directly to an electric water pump without the need for batteries. The high voltage model does NOT include a controller to charge batteries. The Southwest Windpower Whisper 200 Step Down Transformer and the Southwest Windpower Multi Voltage Controller would be needed in order to do so.
The bigger brother to the Whisper 100, the Whisper 200 features a 10 ft (3.1m) rotor diameter and an 80 sq. ft. swept area that provides the user with greater output at low wind speed averages. The Whisper 200 has twice the swept blade area, providing double the potential energy as compared to the Whisper 100. The Whisper 200 also incorporates a permanent magnet alternator powered with an advanced airfoil, thus capturing the most energy in its class as compared to other competitive wind turbines. At 12 mph average wind speed, the Whisper 200 can deliver 6.3 KWH per day.
Patented Angle Governor: Exclusive to the Whisper, the side furling Angle Governor protects the turbine in high winds by turning the alternator and blades out of the wind, reducing its exposure. Unlike other wind turbines that lose as much as 80% of their output when furled, the Angle Governor allows the Whisper to achieve maximum output in any wind.
Features
» Permanent magnet brushless alternator
» CE Compliant
» Cast aluminum housing
» 5 year warranty
» Three blade design
» Blade material: Injection-molded fiber reinforced
** Note: The Whisper 500 High Voltage cannot be wired directly to the Whisper Controller. A step down voltage transformer is required to reduce the voltage to 24, 36 or 48 volts before connection to the Whisper Controller
