My wife and I saw the solar powered attic fans on a DIY episode. We researched online and found this one to be the best for the $$. I must admit, I have moderate carpentry skills, and following the supplied instructions, I installed it in about an hour and a half by myself. I was suprised to find the solar panel was much bigger than the photos on line, and actually covers the enitre top of the vent, so that was a plus! And just like magic, it's up on my roof, cooling down the attic! The only drawback is the price. We bought the 20w version and the themo snap switch. I just wonder how many years it's going to be before it pays for itself? We'll have to wait and see. All in all, I'd recommend it to anyone!
